KRYOBURN Part Ways With Longtime Bassist, Announce Replacement

June 27, 2005

Carlsbad, New Mexico's KRYOBURN have parted ways with longtime bassist Derrick Richards.

"This was probably the hardest thing we have ever had to do and has been discussed for quite some time," guitarist/vocalist Todd Brashear said in a statement. "We do not expect everyone to understand the reasons why we did what we did. Because all of you are not day-in-day-out members of the band, so we don't expect you to ever understand. We felt it essential and inevitable as to pursue our musical direction for the future of KRYOBURN.

"Derrick is a personal friend and colleague that has been there since day one and hopefully will remain a good friend. We hope that Derrick continues his musical ventures outside of KRYOBURN since we all know he is a talented musician and a great person. Thanks, Derrick, for all your hard work and dedication, we wish you the best in whatever you do.

"Now as to answer the question as to replacement, Jared Pace will be our new bass player. Some of you might have seen him on some of the BONEYARD and A DAY TO FALL shows. We welcome him aboard and hope you all will embrace him as we will."

KRYOBURN's debut album, "Enigmatic Existence", was released in April via Candlelight Records, in co-operation with Continental Entertainment.
